Campus Changemakers Summit 2023

mymizu is excited to be hosting the "Campus Changemakers Summit 2023", in collaboration with UTokyo GX Student Network!

Join us on 21st August as we gather driven, passionate students who are involved in or interested in spearheading environmentally-friendly initiatives on their campuses, as we work to accelerate sustainable transformations of schools and universities across Japan.

There are many exciting initiatives happening across campuses in Japan; from student-run vegetable gardens to promoting plant-based options and promoting the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse & Recycle). This event will be filled with discussions about these kinds of initiatives, sharing new and innovative ideas, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals.

Event Goal

The theme of this first event is Waste Reduction. Every waste-related project faces challenges; everything from administrative issues, to promoting awareness among students and logistical obstacles. By creating a space for students to share their experiences and struggles, we hope to foster connections and collaboration in pursuit of more effective solutions and implementation strategies!

Our goal is to catalyse a sustainable shift across campuses by connecting like-minded people and supporting one another as we drive positive change. Ultimately, this collaborative effort will help to reduce the reliance on single-use items across campuses and ensure that reusable items become the norm, not the exception!
