For our 13th edition of ‘LIVE with mymizu’, we’ll be welcoming Tao Okamoto, a renowned Japanese Hollywood actress and Environmental Activist. From a young age, she was sensitive to the topic of environmental issues and was frustrated by adults’ lack of action for our planet. At the age of 14, she made her model debut and ran the major runways, including those of Paris and Milan Fashion Week as an international fashion model. In 2013, she made her Hollywood debut starring as the female lead of ‘The Wolverine’ and Vogue Japan awarded her with ‘Women of Our Time’ in 2014.

Last year, Tao was triggered to recall the frustrations she held as a child, leading her to launch ‘Emerald Practices’, a social media account and podcast which she uses as a platform to navigate her followers and community to a more sustainable lifestyle.
Tao will be joining us from LA to share the story behind her journey to becoming an Environmental Activist and to talk about the activities she has taken on. Join us as we reflect on the society we want to leave behind for the next generation!
